Technical data: file size 4,369 KBytes, playing time: 09:18, bit rate: 64 Kbit/s (stereo), coding: MPEG Audio Layer-3 (MP3).

Content background: Metta is a word of the old Pali language that Buddha probably spoke, approx. 2,500 years ago. Metta means "Loving Kindness", and the meditators wish every being well.
That is: they wish all beings to be free from enmity and danger, mental and physical suffering; and that they are able to take care of themselves happily. It includes the wish that whatever they have gained may not be lost; and also states that all beings are owners of their own Karma.
The meditators begin with first considering themselves, then extending their wishes to their parents, relatives, friends, fellow meditators and monks, to all laymen and laywomen, donors and supporters, all guardian deïties and finally to all beings (in their various types) in all places of the earth (including water, air), in the whole universe and on all planes of existence.
